One page websites vs full websites?

Heya!

First, what is a one page website? Or a single page site? It is simply 1 page. In that page you can add your contact form, call to action, an about section, a description of your services and much more. How it’s designed can vary, but still all if not most of your website content will be placed on a single page.

So recently I advised a friend to simply dont bother with creating a full page website. Instead just go for a one page website.
Why?

Actually, if you think about websites as business cards, having a one sided business card (one page site) instead of a two sided (full website) might be of benefit in some cases.

As always, its contextual. It depends on the needs and goals of the business owner.

But here is my short take on this topic:

Go for 1 page website if:
-You are not comfortable using website editors.
Having a one page site in that case hugely reduces complexity.
-You simply don’t need more than 1 page. Yes, in some cases, like in the case of a single landing page or a simple funnel, you really dont need more than 1 page.
-You don’t have enough content to spread out over several pages. This happens, and you dont need to come up with content and words if you dont have any, simply add what you have to one single page.
